Description of Ton

We were missing a modern sleek side table in our interior, no higher than the sofa. Of course, first searched in furniture stores and online for existing options. Unfortunately, all were too high, too wide or too deep. Most were also not modern enough. Then we asked for a quote to have the side table custom made. We were so shocked by that that I decided to make the side table myself. With the help of TOSIZE.fr and a good working drawing, that went pretty easily.

How I made this project

Started with the main dimensions. Made a working drawing based on these, taking into account the sheet thickness and strength needed. Of course you don't want the top to sag in a short time. From 18 mm MDF via 'TOSIZE.fr' ordered all the necessary panels. Added a few more beams, some screws, wood glue and corner anchors, and waited for the order. It came pretty fast, neatly packaged. Put the whole thing together in a couple of hours, where it turned out that all the dimensions specified were perfectly cut. Then puttying, sanding, priming 2 times, paint puttying, sanding and varnishing 2 times.
