Description

I made this low cupboard with separate hanging and shelf area for our 6-year-old son. The height is ideal because he no longer has to climb in to get his clothes (which also saves me from nervous breakdowns). The cupboard is positioned exactly around the door, does not protrude from the frame and still offers plenty of space to store all your belongings on top or underneath.

  8. Position the hairpin legs and screw them in place.

  9. Cut the center leg (can also be bought ready-made, I used the surplus to make a tapered leg of 30 cm high.

  10. Then turn the cabinet over with two people. This way you can easily place the center leg and screw it in from the bottom panel.

  11. Hardboard slide back panels into the groove.

  12. Place the top panel and fix it from the inside with chair corners and screws.

  13. Drill half-deep holes in the laying area where the shelf should sit This rests on dowels, but you can also use other shelf brackets.

  14. Install brackets for the rod in another section, cut the rod to size.

  15. Install hinges and adjust doors

  16. Attach handles and check cabinet with sandpaper for sharp pieces
